Before You Request Account Deletion

⚠️ Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before proceeding, please understand what will happen:

  • Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted
  • You will no longer be able to access Focal services
  • Your focus session history will be removed from our systems
  • If you're part of an organization, notify your administrator before deletion
  • Active sessions will be terminated immediately

What Gets Deleted?

Account Information

Your user profile, email address, and account credentials will be permanently removed.

Session Data

All focus session records, including tap-in/tap-out times and session history, will be deleted.

App Access

You will be logged out of all devices and will not be able to use the Focal app.

Timeline

Once we receive your deletion request:

  1. Immediate: Your account will be deactivated and you'll be logged out
  2. Within 24 hours: We'll send you a confirmation email
  3. Within 30 days: All your data will be permanently deleted from our systems
  4. Within 90 days: Data will be removed from backups and archives

Note: Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Response Time: We typically process deletion requests within 1-2 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email once your request is received and another when the deletion is complete.
