Heads up: Android will warn you before installing an app from outside the Play Store. This is expected for a direct APK install (“sideloading”) — follow the steps below.
How to install
- Download the APK using the button above (open this page on your Android device, or transfer the file over from another device).
- Open the downloaded file from your notifications or Downloads app.
- Allow this source when prompted — Android will ask to enable "Install unknown apps" for the app you opened it with (e.g. Chrome or Files). This only needs to be granted once.
- Tap Install, then open Focal once it finishes.
Verify the download (optional)
If you want to confirm the file wasn't corrupted or tampered with in transit, check its SHA-256 checksum before installing:
